The Government Office for Legislation, in line with the Ordinance on the organisation and the working area of the Government Office for Legislation (OJ RS, No. 139/06), carries out the notification of national regulations adopted in order to ensure the transposition of Directives into Slovenia’s legal order, and reports to the government on the status quo.

As the term notification is used in connection with contextually different activities, an explanation is provided here of the basic differences between them.
